SALT LAKE CITY VISITOR'S INFORMATION

 

As a great attraction to skiers in the wintertime, and a central location for tourists visiting the National Parks in Utah and the surrounding states, not to mention the countless conferences, meetings and convention that the Wasatch Front plays host to on an annual basis, Salt Lake City is a hotbed for travelers with all sorts of Kosher and Shabbos needs! As Salt Lake City's most dynamic Jewish organization, Chabad is here to help fill every possible need!

 

Kosher Food:

There are several supermarkets across the wider Salt Lake City area that offer a full array of Kosher groceries!

Smith’s - 876 East 800 South in Salt Lake City carries frozen Kosher TV Dinners and other Kosher frozen and dry goods products

Specialty Market - 842 Fort Union Blvd in Midvale carries Kosher meats, cheeses and products from Israel

Trader Joe’s - 634 East 400 South  in Salt Lake City and 6989 South 1300 East in Cottonwood Heights carries Kosher Challah, Empire Kosher Chicken and Teva Kosher Meats

The Market - 1500 Snow Creek Drive in Park City has a refrigerated section with Kosher meats and cheeses, as well as a freezer section with various frozen options

Catered Takeout Meals:

Chabad is happy to offer a full Catering Menu, with meals available on 72-hour notice, for both weekday options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as Shabbos meals. A full menu and ordering options can be obtained by emailing [email protected].

Yalla Kosher Food Truck:

Chabad is proud to offer a Kosher Food Truck to the community, that operates Sunday thru Thursday, 112:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A full menu and ordering options can be found at yallafoodtrucks.com

 

Minyanim at Chabad:

Chabad currently offers Shabbos Minyanim on Friday Nights (6:00 pm during 'Winter Schedule' and 7:30 pm during 'Summer Schedule') and Shabbos Mornings (9:30 am). Weekday Minyanim take place on Sunday Mornings (9:00 am) as well as Mondays and Thursdays (7:30 am). Shabbos Accommodations:

There are dozens of AirBNB and VRBO listings around Chabad, in the area known as Sugarhouse. Chabad is located at 1760 South 1100 East. (Please note, when looking at area maps, the further east you go, you are typically walking uphill.)

Mikvah:

Chabad is proud to have the Ruth J. Lunzer Mikvah on campus, used regularly by locals and tourists alike. Please email the Mikvah Scheduler at [email protected] to arrange a time to use the Mikvah. There is a $36 minimum suggested donation for the Mikvah.

 

Park City:
