Purim has come and gone and now……..what Jewish child doesn't look forward to Pesach? It's around teh corner! The spotless house..........the festive Seder meal surrounded by family and friends...........the joyous songs and celebration.................Unfortunately, lots of Jewish teenagers throughout Utah, certainly don't seem to. Over Passover, they will be in many treatment centers throughout Utah, away from parents, grandparents and dear ones; furthermore, surrounded by a great majority of non Jewish classmates and staff members.
Chabad Lubavitch of Utah, will once again reach out to them this year, and make sure to provide all the needs for an enjoyable and pleasant Passover. Haggadot, Matzah, Grape Juice, Passover treats, Macaroons, explanatory reading material about Passover, and last but not least our visits to them. Whether in Draper, Orem, Provo, Murray, Logan, Spanish Fork or anywhere else throughout Utah these young adults will be taken care of and reminded that they are loved and acknowledged wherever they are, because the late Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, reminded us that no Jew can ever be overlooked, G‑d Forbid, no matter where he/she is.
While we can't physically bring these many kids to their homes for Pesach, we can and we do provide for them a "home environment" in Utah. Thanks to caring people like you, we make sure these kids have all they need to celebrate Passover in Utah. Please don't let them suffer their terrible burden alone. I know that the past year has been a difficult one, but hopefully a brighter year is ahead of us.
I ask you to please help us continue our work this Passover season with Ma'ot Chitim - Wheat Money, a tax-deductible gift to support this crucial project, as in years past. Your gift will enable us to offer Jewish children a continuous link between their past and their future.
There is little we as individuals can do to improve the economy or bring about world peace. What we can do however is ensure that Jewish children have the opportunity to discover their heritage this Pesach and throughout the year.
Please familiarize yourself with Project H.E.A.R.T. (Hebrew Education for At Risk Teens). You can donate by mailing a check to the address below or by clicking here. Your gift is of course fully tax deductible.
With warm wishes for a happy and healthy Pesach, please visit our Mega Site at www.jewishutah.com/passover.
