Periodic Table of Torah Elements

Dear Friend

Does this chart look like gibberish to you? Would you like to be able to navigate it successfully?

Why is the Bible alone insufficient? What could be better than the Word of G-d?

Who is the author of the Oral Torah (Rabbinic Law)? If it is the work of ancient rabbis, is it relevant to modern life? Weren’t their ideas shaped by the knowledge and circumstances of their times?

Isn’t the Oral Torah filled with debates, leaving us with unclear guidance and with the impression that Jewish law is all a matter of opinion?

Don’t the debates in the Oral Torah indicate that it is not Divine? After all, how can there be multiple opinions in a G-d-given system?

Do we have the original message? Is it possible for the Oral Torah to have been passed down accurately for so many years?

If these questions trouble you, consider joining our JLI course Judaism Decoded. This course will discuss these questions and many other fascinating elements of the origins and evolution of Jewish Tradition.

The course begins this coming Monday evening, May 11, 7:30-9:00 pm.
